  1. I cut BB with the Flying Dutchman blades and they are real good. I get mine from Mike's Workshop. http://mikesworkshop.com/ Mike is really great in helping you choose the best blade for your projects also he has the best price for these blades.
  2. Thank you everyone for your comments. :-) I didn't get a free cut (she has to make a living too) but I did get a lot of hugs. :-) At one point I thought she was going to cry, then she gave me another hug. Her reaction made it worth the effort of cutting the cross for her. Yes I want to be able to make a little money so I can afford to buy more wood and supplies and tools so I can keep making sawdust, but somethings you gotta just stop and make something for someone just because. . . . :-)
  3. Sometimes we forget to say "Thank You" to the people who go about just doing their job. I saw this Stylist Cross from Sue Mey and wanted to cut one for the lady that cuts my hair. This was my thank you to her, she always make me feel good about my hair cut and just me in general. :-)
  4. Very Nice, I need to make me a holder for all of my clutter :-)

  9. Great Job on all 3 patterns. The work you put into the invisible man must have been exhausting.
  10. I just completed 2 set of 3d compound angels. These were cut using Diana Thompson pattern. There are 14 different angels to a set. I cut 2 sets using different types of wood. The wings and halos were cut from 1/8 BB and stained with different shades of varnish.
  11. For any of you who have just recently subscribed CWCM, if you remembered to use a credit card instead of check/debit, dispute your charges with your credit card company ASAP. Credit cards are a layer of protection, for new purchases, that we shouldn't forget about.
  12. Fox Chapel is not the parent company of of CWCM. see below Carving Magazine, Creative Woodworks and Crafts, and Woodturning magazine are owned by All American Crafts. Woodcarving Illustrated, Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts, Pyrography, and a host of other special issues are owned by Fox Chapel Publishing. All American Crafts is the company that closed. Fox Chapel is still open for business and will continue
