  1. Thank you everyone for your comments.  :-)

I didn't get a free cut (she has to make a living too) but I did get a lot of hugs.  :-)  At one point I thought she was going to cry,  then she gave me another hug.  Her reaction made it worth the effort of cutting the cross for her.

Yes I want to be able to make a little money so I can afford to buy more wood and supplies and tools so I can keep making sawdust, but somethings you gotta just stop and make something for someone just because. . . .    :-)

  2. I just completed 2 set of 3d compound angels.  These were cut using  Diana Thompson pattern.  There are 14 different angels to a set. I cut 2 sets using different types of wood.  The wings and halos were cut from 1/8 BB and stained with different shades of varnish.

  4. A Big "THANKS" to everyone who commented on the Bear Cross concerning their "Like" of #1 light over dark or #2 dark over light.  I had ask for comment from my FB page and from the forums.  All of your comments about my work is greatly appreciated.  :-)

The #1 Light over Dark was the choice of 73% of the comments. #2 dark over light had 16% of the comments and 5% chose both #1 & #2.

  5. Bear Crosses each is 11"x7 1/4"

Please commenting on which cross you like best. Bear Cross #1 - light over dark or Bear Cross #2 - dark over light.

This is a Sue Mey pattern. I stack cut the bear cross out of 1/8 Baltic birch with a 1/4 backer board. I decided to posted the above on my Face Book page - Scrollin Sawdust as a way to get my friends and their friends to look at my woodwork.  I have been getting a lot of comments and even some inquires about purchasing an item.

So. . .   please take a moment and comment which do you like #1 or #2.  :-)

Thank to those who earlier posted about setting up a face book page.  Here is my facebook page I set up.   www.facebook.com/scrollinsawdust
