About me: retired aerospace accountant but still working in non-profit~like a second career but keeps my brain challenged I hope (if there is a brain up there). How did I get into scrolling. My first exposure to woodworking was long ago in junior high school when I took a woodworking class. Several years ago I wanted to have some kind of hobby that did not require a computer and mainly use of my hands. I looked around and chose to get into bronzing. Did this for several years and did ok. But I was buying the wood base to put the bronzing items on and they were costing around $8. So my kids gave me a router for my birthday~dangerous gift since I did not have a clue how to use it. I joined a local woodworking group, met lots of nice and willing to help people. I learned to use the router, still have all my fingers and then I was introduced to the scroll saw and the rest is history. Started with a small Delta then moved to the DeWalt 788.
