John a great story and you are privileged to be part of the scrolling family, if you want to put patterns anywhere here's a good place to start if you need any help I have access to a A3 & A4 scanner on my desk at work and a A4 at home which can turn paper patterns into JPEG's for you computer for free and you can put them on a mobile hard drive and take them with you everywhere and pass them on to the next lucky scroller in the family, so don't be afraid to ask if you need my help.   4. A big WELCOME from me Adam. Just get one that uses pin-less blades and quick release blade holder there all as good as one another at the cheap price to start with usually around £60 plus. Where are you in UK we might be able to direct you to a good seller of saws. Roly

  14. Dick it's not that I don't want to try it it's just a time factor, it takes so much time all that shaping and dremeling and sanding and if you don't have the coloured wood the staining. It's the only reason. perhaps when I retire I might have more time but talking to people who have already retired sounds like there's not much chance of that. God Bless stay safe. Roly

Every person on a table by me at the last show wants one I said £2 a letter in oak and they said fine I'm even selling them to people at work by advertising it on my desk.   25. Kevin are you cutting the raised text at an angle or 90 degees if you cut at about 5 degrees then they wedge easier to glue in place. just asking. Roly
