  1. Thanks guys I think I will try it with an old drill or similar first before I subject the saw to the stresses of my electrical skills. Chris
  2. Could someone please tell me how to wire in a footswitch for my EX21. So I have this momentary footswitch which I purchased from the internet...3 wires come from it Red...Black...and White. The scrollsaw lead is plugged into the wall...standard 3 pin plug terminating in a kettle socket which plugs into the saw. The uk colours are Blue...Brown...Green/Yellow Any ideas what I connect to what...Thanks Chris
  3. Thanks guys for your welcoming comments. Heres a pic of my 1885 fretsaw and also a pic of the JPS F1 Lotus especially for you Larry. Kevin....Are you sure about the 10 inch rise at the back of the saw???? At present my saw is not in use because I'm constructing a stand from a log saw horse which is basically 3 XXX in line with a board bolted to the 6 tops. For a ten inch rise I would have to cut the front tops quite a bit shorter. Perhaps you would clarify....Many Thanks Chris
  4. Hi I'm Chris from the UK.(Cumbria) Another grumpy here....Retired last year and with the presentation money bought an Excalibur ex 21 Limited Edition scroll saw. Just making a lot of sawdust at the moment but slowly getting the hang of it. Its a great saw and it looks great too in its black and gold colours (John Player Special F1 colours) well I remember the cigarettes anyway. I also have a treadle fretsaw c 1885 called "Rival" which was made in the USA by the Seneca Falls Manufacturing Co NY. If anyones interested I'll post some pics when I can. I dont think its very usable though not with any degree of accuracy anyway. Perhaps I will sell it to fund some decent wood.
