  1. I got an Hegner multicast 1 from 1996. It has mostly collected dust, but today I wanted to create something for my grandson's confirmation. I had made all internal cuts but one. I stopped the saw, did the normal procedure when changing to a new entry hole. I pressed the power button, and nothing happened. It seems like there is a fuse that popped, but I can't find it. Is there anyone here that have more knowledge about these machines?
  2. A very nice design but I just wondered about the term "African Tiger". As far as I know there are no wild tigers in Africa. I think a Leopard or Cheetah would be nice here. I'm interesting in all designs relating to Africa
  3. Looks great, but the G and I is to close together though
  4. I would love to make an intarsia of the Salvation Army Crest. I have never made an intarsia before, so it have to me a future project, but would be a goal for me. Is there anyone who can direct me in the right direction on how to make this pattern? I'm happy for all help I can get. If I'm able to make one, It will be brought to the Salvation Army in Uganda. In Norwegian:
  5. I did my first test cuts yesterday. It looks much easier than it is. Keeping a straight line, compensating, and over compensating etc. I need a lot of practice to master this. I'm looking forward to it though.
  6. I checked eBay, but it can be expensive, just in shipping. Is there a good supplier in UK? I'm going to Yorkshire in July
  7. I've had some of them, but there are still many of them left
  8. Thank you for the information. I'll check it out
  9. Thanks for ideas. I have good time, so I mighrt want to try to get the wood first.
  10. What kind of wood can give me an orange color? I'm thinking of making a puffin. It could sell well to tourist in the Faroe Islands. This is a project im just thinking of doing when I get some training, but some research doesnt hurt
  11. I found a small supplier of different wood today. I'm so happy for that. It was a nice old man that loved to chat, and show me around the shop. This is a hairy coo. She is called Katrina. I photographed her in Scotland in 2012
  12. Thanks everybody. I feel welcome already. To Rob, It's good to see neighbors here. Scotland is one of my favorite destinations. I would love to see a hairy coo pattern
  13. Thanks. I use Photoshop elements for photos, so maybe that would be helpful for me. Intarsia is a bit up the road for me, so I have time to learn
  14. I'm a newbie, but some time ahead, I would like to try with intarsia. I would love to make a portrait of the founder of the Salvation Army, William Booth. Do anyone know of a pattern, or able to make one, or suggest how I can get there. There's no hurry, it's just a goal I want to work towards, after I master the saw Ole Kristian Valle Faroe Islands
  15. I'm a 52 year old man from Norway, but have lived half my life in the Faroe Islands. I got interested in scroll just by chance. I discovered that working with wood was something I liked, after building a doghouse. I bought a Dremel rotary tool, and after browsing other tools from Dremel, I discovered the Moto-Saw, and then I checked up reviews on youtube. Then I discovered Scrollsawing, and wanted to try. I got the scroll saw, but havent had time yet to try it. I have found some practice patterns I want to try on some 6mm plywood. Finding nice wood for projects are hard here, but I can get som skills training on plywood. I'm very excited to fire up the scrollsaw, and try. I hope I can find a lot of help and inspiration here Ole Kristian Valle Faroe Islands
