  1. Hi Jim, I'm in the UK.
  2. Hi there! My name is Richard, I'm o new to Scrolling - In fact I've not even got my scrol saw yet! :-0 I'm looking to go for either a record power (I have one of their lathes and, also a bandsaw in my workshop), or maybe a SIP, as I have one of the SIP Jointers and also also their extractor and am happy with both makers..... I do quite a bit of turning, and bench work, anything from a turned pen to a coffee table, or bed.... and thought i'd id like to try some scrolling - having seen the sort of projects that can be done, from name plate and small bowls, i thought it would be a worthwhile addition to the bits and bobs i make, and maybe even have room in the house for the scrollsaw for those cold venings when i can't get to the workshop to do some bigger bits. Anyway, hope all you keen bees can give me some pointers, firstly which do you reckon a SIP or a record power, I've been looking a quite a few, and as far as i can make out most of the models around the 1tonne mark are the same model branded to the various companies, Jet, Erbaur, axminster, record, and sip......are they just all the same???? Also whats the benefit of going with one thats got the flexi lead, anygood, worth the extra? will i use it? (I'm guess ing probably...) :-/ Be nice! I'm new here! Rick.
