  2. Wow lot of cuts,used 2/0 spiral rev blade,both are 12x14 . Pattern came from DonR. Thanks Don, lady i did it for loves it.
  3. Used scrapbook paper found at craft 2000 store.
  4. Deer is mounted to a hard paper backer and made up an outside border pattern and cut it out of same material as deer and it fits frame perfect.
  5. Thanks marg and i felt the same way so i pulled the flag and put in bright red. much better,thats what is great about these can change and switch around backgrounds in few min.
  6. I cutout the deer and made a template of 12x16 for the inner frame.Made up a couple different templates with different corners.

  11. i got a great deal on some high dollar framing 10 and 12 foot sticks,bunch of different styles colors all wood.
  12. 1/4 " white birch, lighting wasnt very good,hope turns out ok here.

  14. Sheet of scrapbook paper from craft 2000 store.
  15. Finished these 3 today. True 10 in. saw blade size,sold one within 1/2 hour. 1/4 inch material two of them on oak other birch. Used my new (used) dewalt 788 SWEET SAW love it. Used 2/0 sprial blade never broke one blade with this saw and cut time in half.Did i say it was a sweet saw?

  17. This is my 6th or 7th project ever on scroll saw i think they came out nice for who did them. 1/4 oak, 10 x 12, done a triple stack 2 oak and one pine. Used #1 sprial only broke 4 total.
  18. Thanks Mick and i do agree, i think they wood (little pun there) look better grain going other way.What do you all use for finish or sealer? These were poly and i just dont like it much,lastest project used lacqure like it lot better. Want that wet wood look to bring out grain but dont want shine.

  20. Hello Gary have been scroll sawing now for about a month this is my latest project.

Hi new to scroll saw have been doing month or so now and love it.Like the fert work have done some nice plaques and a hand saw with howling wolf at the moon, had to do all of it with 2/0 sprial. Finding out the harder to do the better i like it. I have an older lady the loves roosters but i cant find a pattern for one with medium to lot of fert work. Can someone out there help me to locate one? Have been using a roybi saw as first one am looking at a dewalt,been reading all your post. I made a plastic top to fit over my table and drilled small 1/8 hole for blade.Works great no more small peices breaking off through hole in table top. THANK YOU all for this tip.
