  1. Those are great you should be proud! Did you varnish them to bring out the wood grain of the oak? Your landlady is a turd what goes around comes around I say! Do you put your initials on the back so she doesn't take credit for making them?!
  2. That is lovely!
  3. That is jaw dropping I'm in awe! How much time did you have to finish it? Did you add colour or stain to it later?
  4. This is the friendliest forum I have ever joined, what a wonderful welcome! I will post a picture of the rooster I made with my old scroll saw, I just have to transfer pictures from my old laptop. I'm still figuring out this new laptop and windows 8 is a little bizarre to get used to! Looking forward to learning how to transfer patterns to wood and wood types etc etc It's snowing here today again!
  5. Thanks for the replies of welcome and breakfast request (made me hungry lol). I was able to purchase a lightly used 16" dremel 1680 for $110 on Sunday. It came with the instruction book and two packs of blades. The fella only used it a few times and it was just collecting dust. I think it will be ok, I especially liked that it came with a light, blower, variable speed and a stand. I have a picture but have to look up how to post a picture. My coffee is poured so I'm gonna figure it out!
  6. Hi everyone! I live in Muskoka Ontario Canada. I inherited a scroll saw from my Dad (busy bee brand) that I used a few times before it burned out. Found a second one at a garage sale (mastercraft) that I was able to make a chicken picture for my chicken coop but it had a melt down too Nothing like using one with a single speed, no light and popping blades every five minutes. I'm hoping to buy a new used one today that I found on the classifieds. Fingers crossed! Thanks for letting me join! Cindi
