  1. Happy Birthday Jason!  I hope you have an awesome day!

  2. Jason

    new page

https://www.facebook.com/KimesKraft-941409072632924/ I started a page for my woodshop if you all wanna check it out here's the link.
  3. Everyone talking about foot switch, I used mine for awhile then it found it's way to the shelf. I may have to get it out some time. I have a few magnets on the stand that I stick lightly used blades on, and I sit in an office chair with wheels so I can roll across floor to drill or where ever.
  4. I use fd superior puzzle for ¼" and under.
  5. This saw is proving difficult to cut on. Everytime I turn it on my eye's tear up because it runs and cuts so smooth.I'm so happy I bought it.
  6. Just got it home. Original receipt was in owners manual. It was ordered 11-27-2013. I guess the gentleman passed away in February.
  7. This all started because I read a review that said if you can't aford a parallel arm a c-type arm will do. Well I remember back 20 years ago when the saw was new and it was more than a dewalt.
  8. That's what I'm worried about kevin. That I don't know how good I have it now and buying this Excalibur will be just as good and not an improvement. I cut almost exclusively with FD superior puzzle blades and have no problems with vibration or 90° angle cuts.further more hearing about all the blade clamping issues is giving me cold feet.
  9. His first price was $450, he came down $50. I'll cut for a few weeks and if I like it I will sell my other one for a few hundred and recoup some of money from it.
  10. Well I found an 21" Excalibur 2 hrs from my house for $400. The gentleman claims his father used it for about a month before he passed away. My question is, is it worth it? I know its a good deal, but I have a saw and am not sure if it is that big of an upgrade. I have a Delta Q-3 with the carbon fiber arm. I was reading online and it said that the C type arm is of the poorest cutting saw,but described them as lower pivoting. My saw is rear center pivoting and I have had a lot of success. My saw was new in 1995 and has 3½ years of use on it. Any opinion? Need help!
  11. This was a side project I recently made for my mother. I find that a lot of my bigger projects go that way. Maybe its my short attention span. Sometimes with things like this, I work on it so much that I can't stand to see it anymore.
  12. Well let me start by saying it's good to be here and be in the company of so many great craftsmen. I recently spent some timr browsing through the photos of other members projects, and let me say they are inspiring to say the least. I enjoy scrolling, but its not my only interest. I also enjoy a variety of outdoor activities that include, but aren't limited too hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and riding my harley. I also enjoy reloading and have done a little light gunsmithing in the past. My family life can get a little busy. My wife of 12 years and I have 2 children, a girl of 10 year and a boy who is 7. We are currently expecting our 3rd,which we already know is a girl. She is due any day now. For the last 10 years I have been employed with General Electric as a machinist. It was always a dream of mine to be a machinist and I have worked hard to get were I'm at today. I'm the 3rd generation to work here. We build locomotive engines. I'm a citizen of western Pennsylvania, born and raised. We have the right amount of snakes and spiders, few earthquakes, twisters, floods or wildfires. I love my family, life and country. Thanks for allowing me to be apart of this community.
