I run my Dewalt wide open , it has no vibration and cuts wood like butter......

Josh, I have the Dewalt 788 and love it, don't know anything about the Delta but I'm sure it a good saw...........

Ray, just google Ricks Dewalt scroll saw maintance and you will see it there, much better than I can explane it, very simple to do......

I thought my Dewalt was fine too for the last 6 months but after I did this It just made it that much better...........just sayin.............

I just aligned my bottom blade holder with the top one and its like I have a new saw. I moved the bottom blade holder 1/16 of a inch outward by slotting the two side plates and moving the frame work out. I don't know if all Dewalt 788 have this same problem but mine sure did. It seems that they would check this during the manufacturing of the saw. I have used the saw for over 6 months just like it came out of the box. Believe me, check yours and do the fix, it well worth it and it takes about 10 minutes.....

I just dip my projects in lemon oil and let them dry. I use alot of redwood and it really works to bring out the deep colors in it. Its just me but I don't like shinny wood......

The Dewalt is my choice, and have found out it is really easy to keep tuned up and to work on should the rare occasion come up.............
