Thanks Ralph.Yes they are cut at five degrees, table titled to the left.To get them to raise you have to cut COUNTERCLOCKWISE. For a recess you cut clockwise.
For example in the name price,the circle parts of the letters P and R I cut the circles clockwise first.Then the letter counterclockwise.
You can play with the angle to get the raise you want.I used 5 degrees this time because of
the number of letters in name.Most times I use 7 degrees. It is great fun because you can paint
the letters separately. One more thing is when I use stain on the body,I finish just the body
with spar varnish.If you put spar on the white letters it will turn them yellow.
