  3. Hi I am 80 years young living in Australia. I am a keen scroll saw enthusiast and in the middle of doing the chalet box fine scroll saw patterns, and the thread has striped on the blade chuck Dewalt DW788.I have looked on the web and no spare parts here in Aus,Alot of suppliers in the states don't ship overseas and those that do postage is $50US or more now that is alot of money out of my pension, so i am open to any ideas to help my get back to scrolling. I was an engineer in working life so the idea of getting the hole filled with aluminum weld the re drilling and tapping could be an option or maybe heicoil may work, come on guys i need help.   4. Thank you for all your comments. Some ask how long it took \, well as you know with scroll sawing you can cut each single piece or stack cut some.So with me time is irrelevant a man made concept. I love the challenge and produce something I am happy with, so give it a go Brian

  6. whats the best hand saw for cutting 3/6mm plywood sheets. are the Japanese pull saw ok, if so what do you recomend/

  8. Thanks for your help guys.The ply is not the best, next time I will see if I can get Baltic pine localy,we dont have all the choices you have hear down under.I will give the idea of a scrap piece and stack. I will be using spiral blades are any better than others? Thanks Brian
  9. I want to saw pattern#1340 Songbirds in 3mm. plywood. How do I do this without the top veneer coming away in the thin sections? I usually work with thicker ply but for this I want to try thin thin. Thanks Brian
