haha I appreciate the input. I was interested to see what kind of responses this might stir up and I am not dissapointed. Little too young to be married quite yet but still need to figure something for the girlfriend.

What better place to ask for love advice than a scroll saw forum? Long time no see yalls hope everyone has been doing well! Wanted to get some ideas on what to make for a girlfriend/wife for Christmas! I'm struggling more than I expected to come up with an idea but keep coming up short. I usually just put a few brad nails in the waste areas, quick and easy and holds it tight.

Thanks for all of the helpful ideas! It just needs to be a small box that I can keep my 2"x 3" pictures in while carrying them around in my backpack to hand out to people at school. After I have thought about it I think I am going to try to use my router and to clear out the inside of my box since it doesnt need to be very big and that is something I have never done before and now I can try something new!

I want to make a small box to hold my senior pictures and want some ideas. Each picture is only about 2"x 3" so it would be very small but Im not sure how I would go about making it, whether to use a hinged lid or some sort of sliding lid. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! -Joe

Thanks to everyone for the help, I offered him $125 because I didnt want to low ball him and he said he didnt want to let it go for any less than $150 because he only used it once or twice but I was able to get him to throw in an old caftsman belt and disc sander for free without a motor. so now I need to find a cheap 1 hp motor somewhere for it. Now I need to know what kind of maintenance I need to keep this saw running well for as long as possible. Thanks again!

yeah It was at a garage sale it looked to be in good shape and I will look at the model number if I decide to go back

Found a used dewalt scroll saw for $150 and was wondering if it was worth it. He claims it was used very few times and it comes with a stand and a light. Im not sure whether it is the older or newer version but if I remember right the older model was better? Any help is appreciated! -Joe

Just wondering what the easiest way to cut big pieces of ply wood down to square useable size is. I have a very limited amount of space and need a more efficient way of making pieces square and ready to scroll. Thanks! -Joe

i would get it as thin as you possibly can especially if it is the first piece you have ever cut it would make it much easier if it was closer to 1/2 inch

Just wondering what kind of spray adhesive you all use. was going to pick some up today but at the menards I went to there was quite the variety and didnt want to waste money on a can if it wouldnt be any good. Thanks! -Joe
