  1. have a Delta 40-695, similar to the Dewalt. I have difficulties with the lower blade clamp tightening smaller blades such as 2/0 or nbr-1. Larger blades like nbr-5 or 7 will clamp just fine without any issues. I have tried adjusting the set screw... but those dang smaller blades will just not clamp. My go to blade is the FD UR nbr-5 all the time.... But I have the need to use a smaller blade and can only get it to clamp like 1 out of 50 tries Any help will be appreciated!!
  2. Ol Black betty Bam a lam... This was a one hit wonder song by Ram Jam back in 1976. Now I can't get it out of my head!! excellent song.... Jim. . .
  3. Actually Steve Good has a video on his site where he converted a cheap electric toothbrush to a sander. I watched it about a year or so ago. Jim. . .
  4. You might try POZSGAI'S http://www.pozsgaidesigns.com/page0006.htm They list conversion kits kits for Sears models but not Crafstman specific. They have a contact number listed. I kinda recall Sears offering a conversion kit a few years ago. I do know Olson sold one as well. I did get a conversion kit from POZSGAI'S for my old Dremmel a few years ago... just to make sure I did have the addiction. This just added to the addiction causing me to buy a bigger and better saw later. It is a cheap investment to get yourself hooked. Jim. . .
  5. No... It just really enhances the grain of some woods....
  6. I use a mixture of 50/50 BLO and Mineral spirits. It does make the grain pop. Jim. . .
  7. Excellent!!!
  8. Hi Barry. . . Went back thru my bookmarks and I think I found the site I dealt with http://www.lcmlab.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1087&Click=30038&gclid=COG48NnU064CFULrKgodLmG8aw Jim. . .
  9. I found a medical supply store online.... Got about 50 1/2 inch plastic test tubes and a holder all for well under $20.00 including shipping. I have enough extra tubes for growth and keeping all the different types of blades seperate and nicely organized. That was about a year ago. Jim. . .
  10. Somebody commented about the hardness of wood. I snagged this Density chart sometime back( fromSSV I think) and thought I'd share it with everyone. Jim. . . Wood_Density.pdf
  11. I also have the 695... No problems at all. I really love the upper arm lift. Jim. . .
  12. When you take your saw on vacation with you!! Jim. . .
  13. I think mineral spirits will be your best friend here!! Jim. . . .
