  1. Jerry your command center post and this one gave me an idea. Would it be feasable to put a wood arm above the saw and use screw in eyelets to thread a string down to a foot pedal? Then you could raise and lower the arm hands free.Maybe left foot for arm and right foot for power pedal. Excuse the terrible drawing but it's just to show the idea.

My first project with a scroll saw. I want to do scroll saw stuff for Christmas this year and this site has been a huge help. Thanks to all the posters here! I learned a lot doing this, like don't put your blade in upside down, don't print the pattern in black etc.
  3. I don't use it much cause it's slower but I have a Paashe air erasure that I use Aluminum Oxide with. Great for freehandstuff.
  4. I have a Silouette Cameo that I love. They seem too be popular with scrap bookers. I use it to cut vinyl for sanblasting drinking glasses.
  5. Hello all, first post. Never messed with a scroll saw much but looking to make some Christmas gifts this year . I cut up some pallets the other day. Most were not in great shape but a few looked pretty good so I saved the wood and ran it thru a planer. Ended up with some yellow pine, red and white oak,a little walnut, popular, and some mystery wood, maybe gum. They're kind off a pain but I just run a circular saw or sawzall along side the skid boards.End up with pieces about 14-16" long. It leaves out the nails as they're left behind with a lttle piece of wood on the skids.
