  1. You are great at lettering, Kevin!
  2. I used mineral oil when I first started scrolling because it brings out the grain of the wood, but does it ever dry completely? Even after months it keeps bleeding through, leaving a stain.
  3. No, I purchase patterns from Sue Mey.
  4. I use a clear coat finish on base.
  5. Great Job, Rick!
  6. Taking a break from puzzles.
  7. No, I have three shops online.. Last four months of the year are very busy.
  8. Individually Hand Cut By Me On Scroll Saw. From start to finish it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to finish a puzzle. I sand all edges and eliminate sharp corners. If they are any detail lines, I will take a tooth brush and remove the saw dust. Mostly adults buy my puzzles as collector items but I still try to make each puzzle as child safe as possible.

  14. Takes at least an hour to cut then 30 minutes to finish. I round over all the puzzles to make the edges smooth. If I color the piece (my least favorite part) another 15 minutes. I don't like coloring wood because it takes away the look of the grain but with a base a little color makes the puzzle stand out.
  15. Super job Kevin.
  16. Sounds like it might be the bearings.
  17. How much would it cost to replace bearings in my delta 40-694?
