  8. My friend is moving from MonteVista to Arizona near Phoenix into one of the smaller towns near there. Real estate is cheaper there. Just paid taxes on our home. Up over $300 from last year.
  9. My idea is to attach it to an Ice tea type jar that can just be unscrewed from the lid. I have old C-Pap hoses that may also work.
  10. just ordered it.I have a couple of Oreck mini vacuums and a couple of other mini vacuums that I think will work. Looks like mounting tabs at the top so the major part of the unit could set inside the receptacle instead of on the top. Would be very compact.

  13. Your work is really interesting. It reminds me of folk art. My mother was kind of a folk artist in a small town. People were always coming over to see what she was making next. Keep showing us!
  14. YOU WIN! Hands down. Your little Penguin is the first thing I ever cut. Sits on my desk looking somewhat aloof! Little snoot in the air.
  15. That is an amazing piece you have created. Very nice!
  16. That's exactly the reason I gave away my DD. Too top heavy and had no room to use a cart to mount it on. I went to the low profile Dust Stopper from Home Depot.
  17. Dick Blick, I have not heard that name for over 20 years. I owned a commercial printing plant for 30 years and had a great art department which used things from Dick Blick often. They have been around for over 50 years. Amazing! BTW, sorry for hi-jacking the thread.
  18. I remember using the saw. Wood came from the sides of apple and fruit crates. Yep, real wood. The sides were perhaps 1/4" as best as I remember. My mom liked it as much as I did.
  19. Welcome to the Village James! Your wife did you a nice thing, getting you a scroll saw. Your beginning projects look really nice.
