  1. Thanks for the mention @meflick, I too have cut a few bits from Vinyl, I do not do anything complicated I just use painters Low tack tape over the Vinyl stick my pattern to that and cut with a spiral blade, I do not go slow like lots of the others do I go as quick as possible this serves me well but everyone is different, I found this suits me, causes less clean up and stops the vinyl from melting back into the cut line. Good luck with it as already said be careful when you are cutting intricate areas being vinyl it will want to jump up and snap easily plenty of holding down around the cutting area when there are real thins bits involved and all will be well. Happy Scrolling
  2. Now I am starting to be able to do a bit I am looking at the patterns that are on here since I have been gone and came across this and could not resist as my daughter is a front line NHS worker I felt a need to give this a go great pattern @Helder Botas Thank You . Please excuse the odd iffy line I am only just able to stand and saw after a long lay off but saw this pattern and had to give it a go. Not so much bragging my work but hoping to brag a great pattern I gave all 3 to my daughter to give to her work colleagues .
  3. Well after almost a year out I am finally able to walk about and also get to my saw although for only small amounts of time but I am upright which is always a bonus. I have made a few things recently will add to my album at some point I did check in now and then but just as a spectator , hoping to now move along a lot quicker and get some vinyl back on here . been a while since some vinyl got posted so only right I do something about that As it has been a while I have attached a few of my cuttings I have done and I even added one in wood to show my saw does do wood too. Good to be back and I hope to be back on here more in the near future and helping with patterns etc as I used to before my op. Good to see some of the usual names here still and I Thank the ones who sent me messages asking where and how I was it meant a lot . Stay Safe all and I hope to post more soon once the Nurse (wife) lets me outside more to me workshop .
  4. Happy Birthday Frank. Hope you had a great day with family and friends.

  5. Thanks TD for the pattern I have managed my first cut in months due to back issues but this pattern gave me the drive to give it a go again the lady liked it too so all good. Thanks again TD for taking the time to do the pattern for me I will be trying more as I recover so of course will be back to this great site with more pattern requests no doubt, I have added a picture as always of the pattern cut.

Thank You Kevin still only recovering but at least I am able to take a look at this site now and then missed it and all those here :)

  7. This will be first on the list once I am back up and running and Thank You for your kind words
  8. Wow you my friend are a star Thank You so much now I have the pattern this will be first on my list to cut once I am up and about and able to get on to the saw. Thanks again my friend you are a star. You gotta love this site I have had more help and inspiration from this one site than the rest in my bookmarks put together. I am humbled by your pattern making skills and one day maybe when I finally get decent at the pattern making game I will then be able to repay all these patterns I have been given by making some for others and helping them out too.
  9. As some may know I have been laid up for a while but during this time I am using it to learn pattern making but this one has me stumped so wondered if any of the proper pattern makers on here could have a try or let me know if it is even a picture that could be a pattern with the dog being white I am wondering if it is me or if it is even possible but I know the pattern makers here are miles ahead of me so thought I would see what is said or attempted on here. Thanks in advance for even looking Frank
  10. I have been away for some time but am on the slow road to recovery still trying to learn patterns but it is good to see the regular talented pattern makers are still here . Great job Mahendra .
