This is the First one of these I have made. Based off of a picture from Google. I had to totally redo it to make a pattern. Hope to sell several of these.

Awesome idea. They turned out great!

I made this Trophy for the Carolina Sprint Tour Race @ 311 Speedway last night. The race was won by 18yr old Jake Karklin. He and his Dad were thrilled to win this trophy. He said it was one of the coolest Trophies they had ever won. Jake said it’s going in my Bedroom! I had a Awesome time, and met some Awesome people. After making this, the track owner is wanting me to make the Championship trophies for our local divisions. I also got me some Decals made this week, and I’ve already had a few of my Customers put them on their Racecars.

I put some checkered flag contact paper onto a piece of melamine, then screwed another piece into it.

Keep getting orders from different drivers. I get a lot of messages from Wives and Girlfriends, wanting to get them for Birthday and Christmas presents. I LOVE making these, each one is unique. Keep adding different types of cars to my patterns.

I’ve been very busy lately. Business has been doing really great. I thought I would take a minute and share some of my latest creations with my fellow scrollers. I made my own patterns for all of these. The Sprint Car will be given out as a trophy @ my local dirt track. The 3 CNYUAS Kart trophies are going to Syracuse, NY. They are for the Top 3 in points for the Central New York Unlimited All-Stars. Some where for Father’s Day presents, Birthday Presents, Proud Parents, Fans, and the Drivers Themselves. Hope you guys like these.

Don’t do that. Never stop putting yourself out there. Helping others, and giving ideas is one of the best things about Woodworking. -

I met a lady at a festival I did. She was interested in a miniature guitar (Steve Good Pattern) that I had for sale. She wanted one made for Father’s Day, for her husband. She sent me pictures of what the guitar looked like. I did some research on my own to see how it looked. In the end I created my own pattern, and came up with this version. It is 20” long, screws are brass, tuners are shelf pins. Wood is maple and Purple Heart. Everything is cleared in gloss lacquer. Strings are 24ga wire. I made the decals on my new Cricut machine. First photo is what she sent me of the real guitar.

Ok, sounds good. Just send me a private message.

What sport does she play? You may be able to use my pattern.

Thanks for all of your help and advice. I love being able to come to a place and get serious help, without all the BS. Thanks again!

I delivered this today. Meet the customer at my last event. We talked about this that day. After a little back and forth we finally settled on a design. I came up with this concept while talking to him at the event. This was for his Granddaughter who is graduating High School this year, and going to College later this fall. I designed my own pattern and frame. Frame is 16” x 20”, walnut, with a Roman ogee on the outside, set shallow, and a chamfer on the inside. I painted the uniform purple with yellow underneath . Clear coated with satin polyurethane. Then glued on real buttons.

I drill them with a Forstner bit. I used 2 on the mustang and Chevelle. I think that it gives the wheels a deeper more 3D look.

93 Mustang Cobra, 40 Ford Coupe, and a 66 Chevelle. Patterns by Me 67 Chevelle. Pattern by Sam Custodio. Mahogany Frame.

I forgot to mention that the Customer was my Sister-in-law. She was giving it to her neighbor. He is a Vietnam Veteran.

Made this per Customer’s request. It is based off of Steve Good’s Moonlight pattern. I used it to get the moon in the right spot, rest is compiled from bing images. I designed the box for these too.

Yes, I make them myself. I love making these, it gets so addictive. I have had lots of people ask about buying the patterns. I have no idea what you would even charge for something like that.
-
They are so addictive for me. I love the experience of getting to make a pattern for each car, and then seeing how it comes out after the cut. I am doing a show later today. I hope these sell good for me.

Here are my newest cars I created. Hope you guys enjoy these. I will be posting more cars next week.

It was a pattern by Blights. I just switched out the couple.

Thanks! I was supposed to do an event last weekend. I got there and the wind gusts were over 30 mph. I left, I didn’t want to take a chance in messing anything up. Got another event April 21.

What is that?

It’s actually a Steve Good pattern. They sell it at Scroller online too. There are some differences in the two. I used Steve’s then created my own box.
