  1. Hi Ray, Happy New Year! My plain end blade holders will not work with the "eyes". I would have to cut an eye, straighten it out and insert it. Garage is way to cold here, to do anything in there. bp
  2. Thank You.....I know it's been awhile, been busy. Belated Merry Christmas to you and yours, and Happy New Year! bp
  3. Hello all, I have been working on some modifications to the sanding belt in the jewelers saw. I believe it is the answer. I saw some old fishing swivels near my work bench, and................... That belt is 3/8" wide and is 5" long before gluing. If anyone is going to try this use fresh Super Glue. The first few I made, I used old Super Glue. Don't do that, it takes forever for the glue to dry. Merry Christmas Everyone...
  4. Hello Lucky2, I'm not quite understanding what you are saying. I have enclosed some photos. All the sanding strips were used on the wood in the photo. I had no problems, unless you mean like 3/4" wide strips or larger. Let me know if this is what you mean... Thanks bp
  5. Olson --- I can't remember the size right now. Well, there a lot of things I can't remember. I will have to look. Thanks bp says: Gettin' old ain't for sissies...
  6. Just watched a video on DIY sanding mops... I'll have to try that some day.
  7. After I get a few hundred more miles under my belt, I will not need to sand certain areas either...
  8. Hello all, Was doing some scrolling today and finished my piece. Next was to sand it. I just got my Olson 1/4"- 5" sanding strips yesterday and thought I'd give them a try. Wrong! They don't fit in my pinless saw clamps. Now, I can't be the first one to think of this, but I put it in a jewelers saw and it works like a charm. See photo. It seems to me that one could use worn out sanding belts, and make them any width to meet the need. The grit on the belt would hold real good to the clamps. Take Care bp
  9. Thanks JustLarry and Chuckthe kid. Well CharleyL, Thank You for the fast reply, and you are right. I have a WEN, model 3920. I think it works fine for my needs. The pinless clamps seem to look like most others. I have enclosed a few photos of them. Also I made a wood "Tee" handle for the tiny Allen wrench. It works great. I had read somewhere that a person complained about the small wrench, because it hurt his tender little fingers. The first thing I did when I opened the box was to make a "Tee" handle. I have tender little fingers too... LOL Thanks bp
  10. I have tried to use the spiral blades and they break so easily. Is there a magic way to install and tighten them? My way sure isn't working. It seems that when I tighten the clamp to the top of the blade they snap. When I do get them in they work fine. Thanks bp
  11. Thank You heppnerguy, Here's something you might enjoy. Just got done with it. Thank You Oh...almost forgot. I don't seem to be getting notified when I get a reply to a message (like yours). The "Notify me of replies"is checked
