If you are making 'hand-made' clocks (or anything) do you want it to look perfect (like production run) or do you want individuality. 'Slight' variations between piece and backer shows that it is hand-made and should not matter to those people buying it. Just my opinion, take it or leave it. Beautiful work by the way. Dick

most carpenters glue will not stand up outside. gorilla glue makes one that you can use outside. make sure you read the label. screws from the backside does give a bit of security.

I don't know if you have a bolt and nut supply store in your area but that might be a place to start. Also try an automotive parts store. Just a thought. -

Thanks for the warm welcome. i have already realized that this forum is full of very helpful and friendly people. Right now while we don't have snow to speak of the temps are still around the freezing mark. i just ordered some new blades so hopefully I can get back into scrolling. Dick aka spotsdad
