One suggestion for your new saw. I have a DeWalt and found that using a foot pedal lets you tape over the switch and avoids having to clean it regularly. It seemed that I spent too much time cleaning the on/off switch until I added the foot pedal. I don't use the dead man switch as I have mine mounted on the side of the stand where I can bump it with my knee.

I was on the site for a long time as "Kepy" but after a years absence, when I came back I didn't remember by sign on so came in through facebook and they used my email. I have been called Kepy for a lot of years but my real name is Bob but everyone keeps spelling it backwards. I meant to tell you that the picture is actually me but from 1941.

My thoughts are with you. My family is from Trego Co. so I know how tough people from the plains can be.

Last year, I did some Nativity scenes with fabric backing that needed lighting. I found some of the battery candles at Dollar Tree that worked great. You did have to be careful to make sure they worked as found some that didn't.

The rumor that I died is false. I've been gone a long time as I found out last year that I have cancer. Turns out it was pretty aggressive and all the available treatments were not suitable for me so I had pretty much given up. Then I found out about a new treatment that my Dr. thought would work but the only available unit was out of network for my insurance so spent almost 6 mos. trying to get it approved. Finally got to have the treatments and they weren't as easy as I thought they would be. Had to wait 3 months to check on success. Had the first test yesterday and everything looks good so it appears I may be around longer than was originally thought. I am glad to be back and looking forward to being back in the shop.
