For small pieces I'm thinking about using a thin CA glue. I tested this on a small piece of purple heart and I think it came out amazing. Notice, for time sake, I didnt worry about the edges, but never mind that, look at that mirror finish! My process was 3 coats thin CA glue Sand with 320 3 more coats CA glue Wet sand with 600, then 1k, then 2k Finally I used a car polish first with a swirl remover buff pad, then with an ultra gloss buff pad. Both done on a random orbital. I used the edge of the buff pad as if it were a circular buffer because it was such a small piece. Let me know if you guys think. Only took about an hour start to finish on this test piece

beautiful project and beautiful words. Very very true. I'm looking to start a longer term project like this. I guess You could say I'm being pretty picky about it before I start lol. Don't want to get 5 months into a disappointment if that makes any sense. Again, very very beautiful work.

So I've been wanting to do a portrait and finally got around to taking the plunge. I used the rapid resizer website to design the pattern. Cut on 1/8 Baltic birch plywood. Just need to make some kind of frame for it, but I got impatient and wanted to share it's of my beautiful girlfriend who also bought me the saw.

Almost finished with this. Just needs a base and lid. What would you guys use as a light source for this nightlight? I dont want cords coming out of it so anything battery operated is what in looking for. I'm thinking those fake candles they sell at Walmart? Any better ideas?

Hey guys I was recently cutting some lettering on a piece of hard maple and I was noticing how much harder and slower it was then the African Mahogany or Walnut that I've used. I made a comment to my dad who was in the shop that I almost didnt want to use it again, but it looks nice and is a nearly bulletproof wood lol. What are your favorite woods to scroll on and why? For woods that you didnt like working on as much did you come out of it with any lessons or tips you could pass on? Thanks in advance

I'll need to keep track of the patterns I use so I can give credit to the people that put in the hard work of design. For these I Google image searched and actually taped a piece of paper to the monitor and traced them out after resizing the image on word pad lol. Weird way of doing it. But it worked like a charm

Good idea. I was considering doing something thin and translucent in the back to give a sort of stained glass look. Not sure exactly on the material I'd use though

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I started scrolling in high school wood shop where I fell in love with it. I always figured they were real expensive and was real busy with all sorts of hobbies so I never bothered looking into them past the shop. Earlier this year I saw a YouTube video on compound cutting and I looked up the cost of a saw. I was surprised see the lower end models were very affordable. Fast forward to earlier this month and my awesome gf bought me a wen 3920. 2 projects in without breaking a blade or turning wood to scrap and I'm quote enjoying myself. Anyways just wanted to say hello. I look forward to posting all sorts of projects
