  3. I have bought these blade holders in the past from Lee Valley or Busy Bee but they no longer carry them. I cant seem to find them anywhere. The size fits the tray that I have all my scroll saw blades in. Does anyone know where I can purchase a pack or so. Amazons size is thicker so they won't fit in my tray holder. The size I need is 5./12 to 6" by 1/2"wide . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  11. My saw has been giving me problems lately. The tension lever at the front of the saw loosens off after about 10 seconds. and also if I try to run it without a blade in it , it still loosens off. I put some tape around the lever, but that's not very productive. anyone else have that problem. Jim

  15. Sealing the back before cutting sound like a good ideal. I will have to try that. Thanks Jim
  16. I have a white wash on the back pieces of the puzzle , but getting unwanted stain on the back seems un professional. The sanding sealer could be the answer.
  17. I'm trying to stain the front and side edges of puzzle pieces with minwax stain. When I stain the sides, some stain is getting on the back of the wood witch i don't want. Painters tape or clear packing tape on the back does not help to protect the back from stain getting on it. Any ideas how to prevent this? I use a cotton swab for the sides. Thanks
  18. This may be the spray gun I was wondering about. they sell them at Lee Valley in Canada and have free shipping right now. I just use water based, Deft finish.
  19. Hi I'm wondering if anyone uses any kind of spray gun for scroll projects? I was using a spray can then started using a preval aerosol with water base deft varathane. The preval aerosol is about $10.00 Canadian so im wondering if anyone is using and inexpensive spray gun. I have a compressor and I see, Lee valley Canada sells a sprayer for about $56.00 I would not need a $300.00 unit , just something for scroll projects. Thanks Jim
  20. Well I finished the train puzzle and put a water base stain on the front and a white wash stain on the back. Also put on a few coats of water base finish.
  21. If you were a 3 year old wouldn't that change things not knowing what side is front or back.
  22. I think what I'm going to do is put a light water base stain on the front. Possible a whitewash on the back.
