If a project calls for 1/4" hardwood (or any thickness really) by 12" wide, how do you get that dimension? I looked online and the dimensions are around 4 or 6 inches wide. Do you glue the wood together?
  2. Doing the small fret work relaxes me little nothing else. Probably because I can't think of anything else at the same time! I love it!
  3. The thickness of the wood was around 3/4", poplar wood from Lowe's and the dimensions are 15" by 8" high. I bought the pattern from the wooden teddybear, it was one of 4 patterns in their Heavy Equipment Set
  4. No, I have been cutting for a number of years, just a newbie to this site
  5. Thanks, the wood was about 3/4"
  6. I think it was poplar, straight from Lowe's, I should invest is some nicer wood
  7. I've never cut metal, that would look pretty cool!
  8. Just finished this the other day, fun to cut!
  9. I like to scroll saw everyday, I just finished a project (except sanding) and I don't know what pattern I want to cut next. Any suggestions as to where I should look? I like fretwork the best, and I like animals, cars, and and a assortment of others which probably is the reason I can't pick one. I don't mind using 1" inch would but would probably prefer to stack cut this time. Anyway any suggestions as to where I should look? Thanks
  10. This question has probably beeen asked before but I couldn't find an answer when I searched. Anyway I need to drill holes smaller than the 1/16 drill bit and I would like to use my dremel drill press, is this possible? I found smaller drill bits online but they do not stay in the press, how do you use them? The wood I'm drilling is about 1" thick if that matters
