  1. Thank you. No, I usually make my own patterns, usually for burning. Remembering connections in scroll is a learning curve at the moment.
  2. I have been seeing a lot of that. I'm very much transitioning the type of work I do. I will try the oil though because I do love the natural look. Do you have to seal it afterwards or does the oil do all that on its own?
  3. Hi all! First time here, brand new to this whole thing, and finding myself currently addicted to this new hobby. My grandpa gifted me one of his scroll saws a few weeks ago. I've been waiting years because I love his work. So he taught me the basics - how to use the saw, blades, patterns (very different from my wood burning process), sent me here for tips and told me to start small. That last part I'm not so great at, so I know this has some rough edges, but I am pretty excited with my first project. You all have such beautiful work I thought I'd share too. Many lessons learned - number one- glow paint is not as cool as I hoped (very goopy) and I'm super excited to start my next project.
