I'm in the process of buying a scroll saw for my dad who was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My hope is, while he's able, I can transition him from his big table saw, band saw, etc. to doing much safer work on a scroll saw. I found a Hawk 220, serial #4962, with a couple of missing parts for $125. The parts are available so that's not a big deal. However, it has a Fasco motor, which I understand is not ideal (or, at least SOME Fasco motors aren't ideal). Can anyone tell what I have and if this is a good deal or if I should wait? Given the circumstances, I want a machine that is as frustration free as possible.
