    recently joined for two reasons. 1. As a newbie I am seeking knowledge and skills. My first scroll saw was a gift from a friend, his fathers scroll saw. See pic. Yes its made of Oak, slow but works. 2. Help with scroll saw find that I recently picked up at an estate sale. WIll try and determine what section to post for help in.

    Grew up in Oklahoma, currently living in NW Arkansas. Various types of wood working experience from wood shop in 9th grade to building a 10x20' work shop. Currently building walking/hiking sticks, self bows, raised beds for gardening out of first cut cedar. Various types of scroll work depending on tips my fancy. Do have a scroll saw (homemade) with oak arks, table and 1/4hp belt drive motor I acquired from a friend.
