  1. Nice pieces Kevin, I like the crown especially Gary
  2. Lovely work Kevin, I especially like the 'Samantha' font. Gary
  3. Thanks RJR and Kevin, on this occasion I think I'll leave it 'as is' but some great ideas for future projects, I'm bound to make the same error again! I'll laquer it and post a pic, thanks again. Gary
  4. Thanks Kevin, painting the yellow one blue, then yellow makes good sense, It never occurred to me!. Once I get it finished I'll post a picture, take care. Gary
  5. Hi Kevin Thanks for the reply, hope this photo is ok. You can see the blue below the red, the blue below the yellow is not so cleat on the photo. thanks Gary
  6. Hi Everyone, I've made a simple 'Home' word art puzzle. I decided to paint it and started off by covering it all in white Acrylic. The thing is, it started out as a 'one piece' sign, however with my mighty painting skills i managed to get a bit of different colour's on the wrong pieces. So I now have a bit of 'light blue' on my 'medium yellow' Letter 'm'. I have gone over it about 6 times but can still see the blue underneath. Is there an 'arty' magic tip to solve this, does anyone know? Since my hand wasn't steady enough to paint good enough, I thought if I turn it into a puzzle word art then it should be easier to paint. Gary
  7. Hi Marvin and welcome, I saw some news footage of the weather you've been having, it looks terrible. Hope you're ok and look forward to seeing some of your works. Gary
  8. They both look really nice, good luck at the gallery and you'll have to let us know how you got on. Gary
  9. Nice one Dan, did you give the kids that were 'naughty' an arrow head attached to a wooden dowel and a few feathers and traveling at approximately mach 5? Gary
  10. Nice one Jim, good to hear you did Ok. Gary
  11. I wear an enclosed (non powered) mask sometimes, as certain woods dust, can be harmful. this site lists a few. http://www.ubeaut.com.au/badwood.htm Gary
  12. Beautiful looking cross Kevin, it looks cleanly cut too. Gary
  13. me personally, if I go shopping and there's no visible price, I automatically think it must be expensive and move on, but also if the tag was obscuring the piece and I couldn't move it myself, I'd think 'mmm... what's that hiding?' I may be paranoid, which is defined as an acute awearness, but I like to think my awearness is very cute.
  14. That looks lovely Kevin, nice one. Gary
  15. Nicely cut and finished, unusual too. Gary
