I decided to build a version of the Steve Good scroll saw stand. I wanted to be able to sit down and I needed to minimize it's footprint. I also thought it would be fun to start learning things like half laps, datos, mortise and tenon stuff. So I started with a castle joint. My goal is to do this entire build with traditional joinery and glue. Now that I have a bit of an idea of how I work, I have an idea of things to add/change to make my workflow a little easier.
I'll post some progress pictures here as I go along. I'm a slow'ish builder at times. Yes, I'm using pressure treated lumber. This bench will live outside though. I grabbed the planer and squared everything up. Got rid of the rounded corners.
