Two Truths & A Lie:

  1. Haven’t been here in a long time. Haven’t done any scroll-sawing in a while. Been doing more turning on my lathe than anything. I have been wanting to do this for a while and finally found some free bowling balls. This is my first one. I found that while roughing out the bowl it is best to keep it on a slow speed. When I got it close to where I wanted it I turned the lathe up high to get it smooth.
  2. Thought I'd show the method for pen making in pics as I went for those who don't make them or have access to a lathe. On this one I used universal bushes it always best to buy the bushes to fit the pen, it's one of my favourite pass times as well as scrolling. Thanks for looking Roly PS; Majestic Squire pen in gold and rhodium
  3. here is a coffee scoop I just finished up. the handle is made from resin and coffee beans. I poured(made) the handle blank myself. after I turned the handle I put a couple coats of CA glue on it to seal the beans. My shop smelled like coffee while turning.
  4. here is my latest pen. This is a fountain pen made from curly wormy(ambrosia) maple.
