Wilson's Woodworking Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 These are a couple of pictures my niece took. She is quite the armature photographer. I am hoping you wonderfully talented pattern makers can help me out and make some patterns out of them so I can give here them as a thank you for her help. I did get her permission to use them even thou they are not copyrighted. There is a third picture of a round building that I am going to try to make the pattern myself. I may post it latter if I don’t like my results. Thanks in advance. Quote

Wilson's Woodworking Posted August 6, 2014 Author Report Posted August 6, 2014 That is a Great pattern Paul. Thanks With that many holes I should be able to finish it in the next 6 months. Lol The gal I am making these for is a card playing fool just like the rest of her family so I thought I would try to put one of them in the middle of a cribbage board. (Thanks Larry for the idea) When I get time to cut this one I think it will be an 8X10 framed picture. Great work and thank you ever so much. PS I hope others will feel free to cut this and any other pattern that comes up. I would enjoy seeing other interpretations of these pictures. It is always interesting to see. Quote
MrsN Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 I love this!!! I really like landscapes, this will go in my cutting pile! Quote
amazingkevin Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 I can see getting in big trouble cutting the right side, but maybe cutting every other slat will change that! Quote

Wilson's Woodworking Posted August 11, 2014 Author Report Posted August 11, 2014 Wow Paul and Roly, you two are my heroes. Those are two amazing patterns. Now to get the time to do the cutting. The good news is I did get one of my saws set in the room in the basement that I plan on doing the cutting in. The bad news is we are still trying to get the house arranged in the rest of the basement and get a dog run built out behind the house. Then I have to finish an inlayed box for my brother’s wedding. After I get that accomplished I plan on diving into these two patterns plus one that I am working on of a round building. The picture is taken by the same gal and I might wind up putting it on here to see how you guys would do it. I am afraid I need a lot of practice at pattern making yet. I have countless hours in trying to make that pattern and I don’t think it looks all that great. At liest nothing like you pros patterns. Thank You, Thank you, Thank you for all the hard work. They look fantastic. I can’t wait to get to cutting them and I hope other people will cut them and post pictures of them. I find that is encouraging for me to complete difficult cuts done myself. MrsN Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Another wonderful barn! My summer vacation is coming to an end and I have so much left to do. Quote
Rob Roy Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) I don't like barns to many details. but I would turn one into a workshop. LOL That's a fine looking DOG HOUSE Roly. I'd love to try something like that, but due to cardiologist's orders it won't be happening just now. Probably BLEED to death. . Plus my pillar drill has decided it's fed up drilling holes. The quill has snapped so it's going in the scrap metal pile . Just like me, It's too old to get spare parts, hee hee. Rob Roy. Edited August 12, 2014 by Rob Roy Phantom Scroller 1 Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Rob, that drills a bit like you then, no Scottish parts available. I give blood all the time so you could have some of mine and your now part English. ha haa Quote

As for the drill, I think NOAH made good use of it when building the ARK . Rob Roy. Edited August 12, 2014 by Rob Roy Phantom Scroller 1 Quote
