KevinP Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 I need help with resizing a pattern from the pattern library. It is one of the arrowhead patterns. I need it resized to 8.5" x 14.5". I just need the arrowhead outline itself. Trying to cut a arrowhead plaque. Thanks Quote
Birchbark Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 That can't be done unless you distort the image. It can be made 8.5 x 12.5. If you took the arrowhead part off alone then that could maybe be done. But I don't think any of these pattern makers will rework someones pattern/take the name off etc. You will need to do that on your own probably. Atleast i won't rework someones pattern. Sorry Russell KevinP 1 Quote
DonR Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Kevin, Here is a 14.5 X 8.5 inch arrowhead. As Russell said it is distorted but it may work for you. I just did a search for arrowhead clip art then resized the first arrowhead that came up. Don R KevinP 1 Quote
KevinP Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 Russell, you are right. I should have thought about that before I posted. Don thanks a million. I don't think the distortion will matter, as I will come back and router the scallops to clean it up or so I hope. Quote
amazingkevin Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Ad lib, You'll probably end up with something better than you thought. It's better to try and fail than to not try at all. You'll do fine! Take a large piece of paper say 15" long x 4.5" wide.A simple piece of newspaper comes to mind as being big enough for you means. Then fold it in half long ways Now starting on the top of the paper 1/2 " down start to draw half of an arrow head roughly towards the bottom of the paper. Then go back once your happy with the half an arrow head add the scalloped edges on the one half . Then take a scissors and cut the scalloped edges you drew. Open the paper and there's your 14.5 x 8.5 arrow head you designed, I guess you're going to scroll it in wood so your on your own from here ,Happy scrolling, ENJOY!
