Will get my tools later. It took me about 3 days to get Sis's garage and shop cleaned out so I have a shop I can use when I get my tools back from the house where  we stayed at to care for our folks and such. Any way, there is lots of space and it was Uncle Dicks shop. He was an auto mechanic  and did dabble in woodworking and such. There  is an old lathe in the back of the shop and a table saw and band saw. So now I have plenty of space to put my tools and  scroll saws when I can go get them back. Can't wait to set it up with my tools and get to making things again or just tinker a bit... Enjoy   Fay

We will have the entire garage filled with our stuff once we get it from the house. I have a heater but don't plan on doing much wood working when it is too cold to do it. I'm planning to cover all of my tools with a tarp or some thing that will protect them.   I sooo want to get started on this... I'm planning to order more wood for cutting and such and I will wait until my tools are set up first and then I will go from there.     Fay

Hi Fay, good to see you settling in now. Looks like fair size shop and I notice you have loads wrenches. They'll come in handy for fixing any machines if they go Kaput. Hey you could use them to fix the car     . Take care Fay.

Yeah,,, I should ask Uncle Dick's ghost to fix the Buick!  LOL!   The shop itself looks like an auto body repair shop, but he was an auto mechanic and I don't know any thing about fixing a car tho I may be able to change a tire and I can put a charger on the car battery but that is about all I can do with a car except drive it. Now that I have a permit but a licensed driver has to be in the car with me. I have another drive lesson next week and another one on the 7th.   Glad you all like my new set up and I hope it will work pout fine. I think we will have a cold winter this year.    Fay

It's great to be  creative now, Don't forget flowers and table clothes, lol Girly it up It's your home now.I'd like too see formic on the tables, easy clean up too.If you can put you machines on rolling carts ,as you'll be moving things around a lot getting things to conglomerate for you. You've got lots of room now and making small surroundings around your machines can make dust collection easyier for you rather than try to make the huge  room dust free. That would take a huge huge dust collector ,probably diesel power run, lolYour going to have a ball now Enjoy ,you've waited for this a long time.Good things come to those that wait!

And working at it too. I do need to put some thing on the tables because there is embedded oil and grease on them. I have been looking at benches that have casters on them so they can be moved when I want to change locations of the tools and the like. I plan to hold off until I get my tools back tho. I soo want to get going and have some fun making things again. I bet Big Yellow is getting a bit lonesome ticked away in that garage at the house. Well just got out of the shower and want to go to bed now so I will say Good night    Fay

Setting up a "new" shop is always fun!

Casters & stand-up lighting (Very adjustable) can make a lot of things work better!

We all know that things will move around a hew times before finding a home"! That is just part of it!

Congratulations on a great place to setup shop.    I would love to have that much room to setup shop in! It beats the heck out of my 14’ X 18†shed with no electricity. My scroll saws are in a bedroom in the basement but the rest of my equipment is between that shed and a little building 30 miles from my house. It is a pain trying to get a big project done. :?

Get it setup the way you want it and start making some saw dust. :) :D

Yes,, I miss the smell of sawdust. I suppose I will be making sawdust even on a cold day once I get it all set up. Maybe I can post some pictures after it is all set up the way I want it to be. So that is my corner of the whole garage. I would have loved to have the back of the garage where the old lathe is but there is a lot of stuff already stacked back there. So it will be fun to get started on getting it all set up too.   Fay
