heppnerguy Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 Lee, Here is a little story connected with this wolf. We had a garage sale a about three years ago and a couple were looking for something that might interest the husband as a hobby, as he was about ready to retire. I asked them if they had given intarsia a thought. She was not familiar with intarsia so I showed her some in my shop and she asked me if I ever sell them. At that time I had only sold a couple of them. I told her I did, and she asked me, 'how much for them'. I told her, most I sell for $125 each. "OH, she said, I can't afford that," I replied that I was not trying to sell her one,I was only answering her question. Then she asked me if I could do a wolf. I showed her my intarsia catalog and showed her the wolf pattern that you just finished. Her reply to that was, "Can you make that one ?" I could, I told her and I told her I would sell that one for $125 also. she immediately said, " I'll buy it." I thought it was rather funny at the time and I still do, It just proves that if you have something a person wants bad enough, suddenly the price is not all that big. I have sold three others of this wolf since. Lee, You have a winner as you always do Dick heppnerguy Quote
ike Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 That wolf is a barging @ $125 , it is a beauty. LOL at the craft sake advebture. Quote
trailfndr Posted October 31, 2014 Author Report Posted October 31, 2014 Thanks everyone. Dick, That would be close to the price I would charge for this piece. and you are correct, when it is something that a person wants, price is no issue. Quote
