I am going to do a craft fair in early December. I don't do many but I keep thinking I should do more of them.

I am looking for advice on how to display hanging things. I have various wall hanging pieces that would look cooler if they were hanging.

How do you hang stuff at a craft fair?

Hi Mrs N:  I purchased some shelving racke at H D, ant clamped them to a 4' table, seem to work for me. I used 3 sections of 16"x 6' shelves and clamped them with adjustable clamps to the table, I took pictures  on my cell phone but can't put them on the computer. there are other ways to do it also.  edward

One of the things I do for that kind of item is I have a 2 foot wide by 4 foot high peg board that I have covered in felt.  I have small dowels that I cut to go into the holes to hold the hanging items.  I generally use an artists easel to hold it up.

If you have someplace near you that sells display racks and such for retailers, you might consider what they refer to as wire grid walls. They are 1/4 welded wire and come in 2', 4' 6' and 8' by 2' wide sections. You can make all sorts of attachments to hang things from them as well as buy shelves that attach to them. Locally a 2'x6' section sells for around $12-15.

A quick set up quick take down would be everything p.v.c. pipe and netting with string or rope.Hand sand the fittings a little to ease assembly and take down,Vegetable oil would make things go together easy..Just a basic upside down tee on both sides and a top rail  with netting hanging down. spring clamps will hold lots of thing for you .

I have gone the home made and peg board rack loop but now ike Dan I use grid wall.  I bought some locally at a placed that sells store supplies and store fixtures.  Google in your area or look on craigslist.  You can also purchase on-line but shipping is normally more then the cost of the racks. I have been at show where folks had some pretty ugly home made racks and I had my grid wall.  They sold nothing and I cleaned up.  Remember your display should enhance you work and not detract from it.
