Bandsaw zodiac box

One of my boxes that I made entirely with my band saw, it is Capricorn and made with English yew so as not to spoil the constellation on the front I made finger holes to push the draws out. I am making Pisces box at the moment.

Linda ,unique and very well done ,Of all the equipment I have the band saw is my most perplexing ( and I have 3 1955 ,A TILT CRAFTSMAN & 3YR OLD hOME DEPOT 14" W DIY / RISER,ADDED  DIY X-Y TABLE FOR RESAW ING  . I USE THEM ALL OCCASIONALLY but not my favorites ,you seem to have your mastered !Thanks for showing !!

Thanks Carl fancy having 3 band saws, my one bandsaw is a record power BS something or other, I don,t know it,s technical details but it cuts through chunks of wood and small curves with the blade just like a knife through butter. Very easy to use where as my scroll saw is taking a bit of getting used to. Perhaps I gave the scroll saw on too fast revs.

 

Thank you Dick I have some other bandsaw boxes I made which I gave to my sister i will photo them and post on here soon. There is a great book out call sculpted band saw boxes they are really brilliant forms . Shaped like a mushroom and a snake.

What I mean is I am suprised those fine cuts could be made with a bandsaw

I hope to do more zodiac boxes they seem to be a popular item, I saw the pattern in the book zodiac puzzles and in stead of a puzzle I thought I would make them in to boxes.

Very,very nice Linda. You must be psychic, that's my zodiac sign. My better half says it's quite appropriate, AN OLD GOAT. You do make a lovely job on the band saw boxes, keep them coming. Thanks for sharing them with us.
