Good for you, my friend bought one and had me use it on a job doing floor molding. It was way out of kilt.I showed him what was wrong ,he fooled with it but never got it plumb. He would'nt let me tackle it so the job came out not the best.Biggest problem was the boards were10-15 or 20 feet long and the house was full of everything.you had to work around everything .What a nightmare.Me being hurt it was double that.Check your alignment by setting it at a 90 degree and cut a board twist the board and try to cut the same cut ,just touch the board with it running again and then cut all the way across just barely touching the previous cut.If its cutting more wood  its out of alignment, but you probably already knew how to do this

Great going Rusty. I have that saw and it is still in the box. I haven't used mine either but when I get ready to make the mantle for sis then it will sure come in handy. Right now I don't have a space in the new shop to set it up as yet but once I get it to where I want it , then I can set it up and use it. I read all the reviews on Amazon and that is the reason I got mine. It's a nice saw. Mine is a 10" but not a sliding compound miter saw. Just a miter saw and you can but bevels right and left. Enjoy your new toy.   Fay
