Bendita Posted November 18, 2014 Author Report Posted November 18, 2014 Beautiful work Hans, You never fail to amaze me. What are the two contrasting woods and what areas are you planning to stain? God Bless! Spirithorse the colour difference is a coincident created by the light its all made from cheap plywood, I was thinking stain everything but the mirror frame and the main cabinet a wine red I make my own stain with fruit juices so its hard to describe the colour but wine red is about as close as I can come Quote

heppnerguy Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Hans, When I saw the beginning of this piece, I was under the impression that is was going to turn out to be a nice item when you were finished with it. but I was wrong.................................. It is not a nice piece but rather a truly great and wonderful piece of art. I hope you are able to teach me a few things when you come and stay with us for a few days. Dick heppnerguy Bendita 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Hans, you give me mixed emotions. I can't wait to see your staining espically using homemade stain. Very intriging, however, what if something goes awry, I'm thinking you need to do another to stain and keep this one as is..... Quote
Bendita Posted November 20, 2014 Author Report Posted November 20, 2014 Paul that has happened on a few instances But I always over come you see using fruit juices as stain you can use bleach to clean it up again and re-do It doesn't take it all of but enough to redo the piece and if all else fails make a new one.
