Jim Finn Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Yesterday, I had a good last sale of the year. ( I did over 25 sales this year.) I grossed 13 times my space rent, even though there were few shoppers in this small, west Texas, town. Sold, mostly, cedar boxes with images inlaid into the hinged lids. I sold many items to some of the other, twenty plus, vendors. No photos. Scrolling Steve, AlfrediaMum and Rob Roy 3 Quote

Jim Finn Posted December 7, 2014 Author Report Posted December 7, 2014 I do so many shows a year that if I talked about all of them or took and posted pictures you would all tire of me. I mention this one because it is the last of the season for me. This year I had gross sales 150% of last year, so it was a great year for me. Part of the reason for this is: I did more sales this past summer. Every Sat. at a farmers market. I have cut down on the number of variations I offer and have found that it did not effect sales in a negative way. I now only display 36 different box lids. This year I kept sales records and now I know better how many of each to make for next year and which patterns to drop. Damn, this is turning into a job! <grin> Wilson's Woodworking, browders, Scrolling Steve and 1 other 4 Quote

heppnerguy Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Jim I love your boxes so much. I would buy one in a heart beat from you if I could. I have made a few boxes but none are any where near yours. Dick heppnerguy Quote
