Thanks all.  And Happy Birthday to Larry and Francisco.  It looks like Francisco is the baby in the group.  Larry is apparently not telling but in another post he indicated he is two years older than me and it sounds like he is getting a new "pot" for his birthday.  Hopefully Francisco will do a little better.  Yes Dick, Christmas and birthdays were a little sparse - especially with two sisters having birthdays on December 20 and December 25.  When young we lived on a farm and were poor but had a family with enough love we did not know we were poor.  We did learn that the greatest gift is love.  In a recent year I gave my spouse, children, and grandchildren a fancy but empty box for Christmas after all of the presents had been opened and told them it had in it the greatest gift I could give them.  When they opened and saw it was empty I received some strange looks and told them it was something they could not see and even though they could not touch it they should be able to feel it as it was filled with love for them and no matter how small the box it would always be full and the box was merely a visible symbol of the love.  I am happy to say that years later I still see those boxes in their houses.  Enough rambling I need to go celebrate how blessed I have been.

SSV and all of the friends here is a great way to start my birthday or any other day and I generally end the day checking in here also.

Larry - I think I remember from another of your posts that your spouse is a quilter.  Mine is also.

Francisco - it is in the twenties and snowing here in Nebraska right now.  I imagine you are similar to Hans the other day who said it was chilly and 59 which was the coldest it had been in the six years he had been there.

No cake from me today - a friend is the fire chief and he said it is to dangerous with this number of candles and cake without candles on your birthday is no fun.

You all have a great day and tip one or two for me - I cannot join you because if I have one or two I just want to go take a nap and as I get older I do not want to miss any of this day or any other day - too many wonderful things to enjoy.

Thank you all very much.

I also want to wish Doug and Frank Happy Birthdays.

I share a birthday with great people.

Doug, your post is heart warming. Very nice and so well written. I enjoyed reading about the gift box filled with love.

May we all give a box full of love this Christmas.
