I have sold six of these and just finished making six more.  Crosses are fifteen inches tall and 3/8" thick with a 1/8" "scab patch" on the back to reinforce the but joint at the intersection.  Made of eastern red cedar and soft maple inlay.  It seems the angels help the sales a lot.  I still have some I made without them.  I wonder if they will ever sell. These are quick and easy to make but sell easily  only at a $10 price. Over that amount, they do not sell well.

Jim I love the pieces...

The inlay puts them above the rest and gives them that (shall we say curb appeal)....

Thus giving you the go to guy for these pieces... You have mastered the technique, offer a quality piece,

at a very reasonable price.  Has home run written all over it.   Quality piece, Great Price.

I can't imagine that the crosses without the angels would not sell well unless they are priced at the same price and them it was down to ' if I can get the same cross with the angel at the same price as the ones without the angel, why buy the one without the beautiful extra addsed for free?"

Had you not offered the angel addition I bet the kids praying crosses would have been a big seller. Love all your things.

I first offered the crosses without the angels for $20 and had very few sales.  I dropped the price to $10 and sold others but to this day (after a year of trying) I still have the ones with children and no angels.   Thought to put angels on some and they did not sell until I dropped the price to $10.  I then sold six of them to one person so I made six more and hope to sell them easier.  I agree $10 is pretty cheap but $15 did not work any better than $20 did. The crosses are simple and fun to make  This is a low income and very low cost of living area here in west Texas.  I do not want to drive the 5-6 hours to Dallas where I am sure I could get higher prices on all my stuff.  I would just love to make things and sell to other vendorsto re-sell but have not found anyone willing to do that.  I have a decent pension so I do not need to make any money on this activity.  Just enough to fund my wood working addition and I more than do that now.  I am just not ambitious any more.  Too old for that. (72)  I stopped making intarsia, bellows and trunks because it took me so long to sell what I have made.  I did manage to sell all of them though.  I have no more intarsia stock.(a good thing)
