Jim Finn Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 I have made and sold over 50 wooden stars but lost some sales because this west Texas weather will just kill anything made of wood so I made this metal star. I made this 28" star from 24 gage painted steel. This is my very first attempt but I plan to adjust my pattern a bit and make some more to sell. Metal stars are popular here to mount to the outside of one's house. Photos include a front and back view. I am a retired sheet metal worker and just today took delivery on a 24" Pan and box brake from Grizzly which I used to make this first attempt. I had not touched a brake since 2000. De Je Vous. Jim Finn Posted April 28, 2015 Author Report Posted April 28, 2015 I plan to use "Pop" rivets in the future. This was my first prototype so assembled and re-assembled it a few times so I used screws. Quote
