oldhudson Posted July 8, 2015 Report Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) Well I finally finished the serving tray. The only task left if to pack it up and mail it to the happy couple. In the previous post I has inadvertently sprayed red lacquer instead of clear. I cleaned it up with mineral spirits and a tooth brush - and of course more sanding. I can still tell but I don't think most folks will notice it. So after another coat of BLO and 6 days of drying I sprayed on clear lacquer. I hang plastic sheets to create a poor man's spray booth and gave it a few coats. I glued on 5 rubber feet so the tray will sit 'proud' on a wet counter top. The final product. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking. Edited July 8, 2015 by oldhudson amazingkevin, Lucky2 and Scrolling Steve 3 Quote
