rjR Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 I attended a Bosch Tool Tour on Tuesday at a local Lowe's. I used one of their mew design hole saws in a wet 2 by piece of wood on one of their impact drills! WOW what a combination.. The hole saw is the best I have ever run. I had use Milwaukee and some other higher end hole saws over the years and none will match it. I will be purchasing a few different sizes-- Strangely none were for sale at the store or the truck of the tour. These hole saws, are deep and have 3 large deep side gullets! They are also carbide tipped and cut very well and the slugs are easy to remove! I also used the new Bosch spade bits. I will be buying a set of them also. Again it was in wet (?? Fir) and just did a marvelous job. They are made in a different design with waves to the edges and push the chips right up. The exhibitors were knowledgeable and very friendly too. I was impressed with the entire line. Most of Bosch is too many $$$ for my just occasional use, but, If I were using that type of tools more I would purchase several. My sons and I do have some corded Bosch tools; they are excellent. They even have a battery heated jacket that uses a 12 volt lightweight battery that interchanges with tier 12 volt tools. amazingkevin 1 Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 Ralph sounds like you enjoyed yourself, I love walking around tool shows it's like being in a sweet shop. I'm off to a steam show tomorrow loads of tools on sale there plus other stuff but it's outside and it's suppose to rain but who cares I'm still going. perhaps I should have the heated jacket.
