After a month out of the shop due to back surgery, I had the itch REAL bad, so I decided to give it a go.  Took me 4 days (normally 4 to 6 hours) but got this Hyacinth Macaw finished  Yeah, it had to be stained Blue, but I used Poplar, Yellowheart, Peruvian Walnut, and Zebra Wood.  Its 17 inches tall, and unfortunately I don't know the designer, It was a free pattern on one of the magazine websites that I picked up a couple years ago.

Lee, I am happy to hear you are back in the shop, you did an excellent job on the bird and the Blue came out perfect. Thanks for sharing and above all DO NOT push yourself, give your back a chance to heal properly.
