Kepy Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 I'm off the the annual Celtic Festival today to demonstrate my limited woodcarving skills. It is a lot of fun as there are all kinds of Scottish animals, music, food and games. It is gathering of the clans honoring the Douglas clan this year and even a wedding today. Kepy Posted September 13, 2015 Author Report Posted September 13, 2015 Sorry guys, I didn't think of photos as was busy at the carving table. Got to meet a lot of nice people although a couple of them were hard to understand as they spoke a funny English. Saw a lot of guys wearing skirts even one camo, can't imagine what clan that is. There were at least a dozen clan tents set up and three entertainment stages. The guy sitting next to me came back from the food area with a Scotch egg but it surely didn't look like any egg I had ever seen. We were just doing demonstration carving and I had a couple of Celtic knot trivets I had done that everyone wanted to buy. Think next year I will have to have some made for sale and I'll see how serious they were. LarryEA 1 Quote
LarryEA Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 I enjoyed listening to you chat about the Celtic Festival. Would loved to hear more. Thanks Quote
Scrappile Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Love to attend something like that. Douglas would be my clan. Quote
Kepy Posted September 14, 2015 Author Report Posted September 14, 2015 Hey Paul, you should have been there as Douglas was the honor clan. If I can find the program maybe I can post some pics from it that would show what it was like. I was so tired that I barely moved yesterday. Quote
Kepy Posted September 14, 2015 Author Report Posted September 14, 2015 I hope these come out readable as I am not the best at this. This was the 13th annual festival and has really grown over the years. It was my 2nd year to work at the carving table so don't get to see a lot of the activities.
