Last week I picked up a table and chairs on TradeMe (the NZ equivalent of EBay) for $20.  They had seen better days but I reckoned there was still a bit of life left in them.

 

 

I stripped everything down and after a lot of sanding, applied three coats of stain.  They came up quite well.  I even earned some brownie points from the missus!

They look like brand new,send them on over the pond.You have a good sense of judgement and made lemonade from lemons.Good for you .I would have never thought those were the same wood pieces,absolute gorgeous job you did! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
