wdkits1 Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Hi everyone As you know I've been working on the design for the Buffalo boxes for my wife's cousin in NC who ordered several for the buffalo association conventions that he attends . This is the prototype finished except for the hinges ,lining and another coat of finish. Box is 6"x8"x3.5" walnut with 75 pieces from 12 different woods used for the intarsia. I will posts more pics in the WIP section soon to show how I got to this point. The nickel is to show the scale of the pieces. Quote

Bzern Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 That's beautiful, I like intarsia and I have wanted to get into box making and joinery, this incorporates both! Thanks for sharing Ben Quote
spirithorse Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 Great work! Thanks for sharing. Is that a quilted maple surrounding the buffalo or is it textured somehow? I love that look! God Bless! Spirithorse55@hotmail.com Quote
